The main activities
The Economic Research Institute has conducted research in the areas of regulatory policy improvement introducing the ‘smart’ regulation principle, economic analysis of the following: investment project management, industrial and innovation policy, regulatory policy state in the context of Kazakhstan's economy; and the regional business climate analysis.
Expert and analytical support and technical support are also provided to improve Kazakhstan’s position in the Doing Business ranking of the World Bank.
Our projects
- Elaboration and testing of assessment methodology for the development conditions of small and medium-sized businesses in the Eurasian Economic Union (Eurasian business barometer);
- The Methodological Guide for conducting an inventory, optimization and categorization of licensing procedures (documents) and notifications;
- The Rules for the development and approval of the annual report on the RK business regulation status;
- The Methodology for conducting information tools inventory; the Rules for government bodies on the risk assessment systems and checklists formation; the Methodology for assessing and comparing the development conditions of small and medium-sized regional businesses.
