Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard the Operational Report of the Ministry of Justice for 9 months of this year.
Marat Beketayev, the Minister of Justice, informed the Head of State the measures being taken on the coronavirus pandemic in terms of supporting a number of draft laws, ensuring their legal examination and reading in the Parliament. According to the Minister, a draft Law-Drafting Plan of the Government for 2021 was composed together with the members of the Interdepartmental Commission for Legislative Drafting Activities: "The draft plan provides for the development of 19 draft laws. They are aimed at further development of the regulation and development of the insurance and securities markets, exchange trading, transport, development of land relations, anti-corruption, law enforcement, geodesy, cartography, volunteer activities and charity, innovative and research and technical development, biosecurity, and others". At the same time, three new draft laws are expected to be developed in the coming year: "On Geodesy, Cartography and Spatial Data" "On Military Police Bodies" "On Biological Security of the Republic of Kazakhstan" In addition, in the coming year, according to Beketayev, two draft laws will be developed and submitted to the Parliament, resulting from the National Action Plan for the implementation of the President's Address: "On amendments and additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Development and Improvement of Exchange Trade" and "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Anti-Corruption", - he specified. In general, out of the 19 draft laws provided for in the draft plan, five are planned to be submitted to the Parliament in the first half of 2021, and 14 - in the second half.
