Within the framework of the implementation of the Presidential Decree on the engineering industry development, the Agreement on the establishment of the International Oil and Gas Engineering Development Center was signed.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar. The document was signed by the Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev, the First Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbayev, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinary Industry ALE Meiram Pshembayev, Heads of the Association of oil service companies, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO), North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) and Tengizchevroil (TCO). The purpose of the Center is to localize the production of goods for the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan by opening new industrial enterprises and service centers, and promoting investment activities. When establishing the Center, the experience of similar research and development centers established by Shell and ENI will be used. The Center will be funded by operators of oil and gas projects and operate on a non-profit basis.
