The merits of famous scientists, cultural figures, representatives of the industrial industry were noted among those awarded Parasat Order. Dear compatriots! A new world order is being created beneath our eyes. In the context of geostrategic uncertainty, the political egoism and economic nationalism of countries are increasing in the international arena. We see how rapidly the level of trust between States is falling, and how tough the struggle between them for resources and influence is taking on. Today, the global status of peoples is largely determined in the fierce race for technological leadership. We are also witnessing an increase in religious contradictions and xenophobic sentiments around the world. Environmental problems are particularly acute today. Forecasts about the imminent end of "oil era" are becoming more and more realistic. All these challenges and global imbalances are sharply exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, the importance of harmonious integration of internal and external development tasks of the country increases dramatically. We need to mobilize all our forces and resources to increase the real competitiveness of Kazakhstan. Today, consolidation of the nation and selfless service to the values of independence of every citizen are more important than ever. We will continue our external policy of strengthening the international security system by promoting the role of multilateral structures and the United Nations. We will firmly defend our national interests and consistently pursue a balanced and constructive foreign policy that has proven effective in today's multipolar world. Dear people of Kazakhstan! The 29th year of our Independence was difficult, dramatic, and unconventional. Such fateful trials do not fall to the lot of every generation. I am sure that our descendants will appreciate our efforts in the future. Having passed the severe hardening of the global crisis, we will set ourselves even more ambitious goals and objectives. The coming year will be a milestone for us. It will be under the sign of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of our Motherland. This is a time to take stock and reflect on the path we have traveled. We will mark this important date for our people with concrete actions and new projects. We will move away from the format of high-profile actions and pretentious events, and all work will be built as pragmatically as possible, I would say economically. We will continue to implement a comprehensive set of systemic measures in the economy, social sphere, and environment. We will pay close attention to the wants and needs of all segments of the population, especially young people, women, and people with disabilities. We are determined to continue the process of political modernization of the country. A new package of reforms is being prepared. We will announce them at the beginning of next year. This will give a new impetus to the democratic transformations in our country aimed at building a "hearing state", promoting and affirming the principles of justice and equal opportunities. Elections to the Mazhilis and Maslikhats of all levels will be an important event for our country in the coming year. I am sure that they will demonstrate the high level of civic activity and political maturity of our society. The election campaign will once again convincingly prove the institutional stability of Kazakhstan's statehood. By building new floors of the majestic building of Independence every year, we are consistently building the future of our country and our nation. We are opening up wider and more exciting development horizons for the younger generations. I am sure that they will be able to raise our banner of Independence even higher, conquering new heights on the path of creation and progress.
