Increase by 5%

The resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On increasing the size of social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund" was published.

"From January 1, increase the amount of social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund in cases of disability and loss of the breadwinner, appointed before January 1, 2021, by five percent of the amount of social payments received," the document says.

The regulation comes into force on January 1, 2021.

From January 1, the size of pensions will increase by 7% in accordance with the law "On the republican budget for 2021-2023."  The minimum size of the state basic pension payment will increase by KZT 1,689 to KZT 18,524. The minimum pension will increase by 4.6 thousand tenge and will amount to 43,272 tenge.

"The laws adopted by the Parliament this year not only make it possible to effectively confront the challenges of our time, but also lay the foundation for the post-crisis development of Kazakhstan," the Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin said, speaking at the plenary session.

According to him, in the outgoing year, all the work of the deputy corps was focused on  implementation of the strategic tasks of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well as the initiatives and instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.  At the same time, the priority was the issues of social protection of citizens, health care development, education, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and improvement of the country's environmental situation.

Speaking about the work of the deputy corps, the Chairman noted that during the convocation 23 joint sessions of the chambers of the Parliament, 186 plenary sessions of the Mazhilis were held, at which 1208 issues were considered.  During this period, the Chamber had 487 bills, of which 432 were approved and sent to the Senate. To date, 391 laws have been signed by the President of Kazakhstan and have come into force. More than 180 international treaties and interstate agreements have been ratified. In addition, the deputies of the Mazhilis initiated 60 of their own bills, which, according to Nurlan Nigmatulin, is more than in all previous convocations.

Also, the mazhilismen sent 1150 deputy inquiries to the state bodies, went to the regions 14 times, where they held more than 17,000 meetings, in which over 1 million 140 thousand people took part. In addition, about 23,700 letters were received from citizens to the Mazhilis deputies, which were considered in accordance with the current legislation.
