Within the framework of a tax amnesty, Kazakhstani residents repaid 14.8 billion tenge in tax debts with 2 billion tenge in penalties written off, the press office of the State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan’s Finance Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Tax amnesty is being held for individuals to write off penalties on taxes on the property of individuals, the document was signed by the head of state on July 2, 2020.
The main condition for the penalty to be written off is the payment of the principal debt. After that, the penalty interest fades automatically.
The implementation of the local self-government project continues in the country. The document expands the income base of cities of district significance, villages, settlements and rural districts.
Thus, four types of taxes will be transferred to local government. The corresponding draft law in the first reading was approved by the deputies of the lower chamber
