On March 16, during a Government meeting, Prime Minister Askar Mamin announced the need to introduce more than 100 processing projects this year with the creation of about 12.5 thousand new jobs.

The Prime Minister of the country recalled that 201 projects worth about KZT 1 trln were introduced within the framework of the Industrialization Map. Almost 19 thousand permanent jobs have been created, of which more than 7 thousand are in rural areas and single-industry towns. Producers of the manufacturing sector were provided with state support measures in the amount of about KZT 300 bln.

Currently, the Majilis of the Parliament is considering a draft law "On Industrial Policy", aimed at creating a competitive and high-tech industry. Askar Mamin stressed that the Ministry of Industry should ensure its high-quality support.

"This year, we should achieve an increase in the index of the physical volume of the manufacturing industry at the level of 5.8%. It is also necessary to ensure further growth in mechanical engineering, ferrous metallurgy, light industry, pharmaceuticals, food production, and building materials. This year, more than 100 processing projects worth 1.9 trillion tenge should be introduced, with the creation of about 12.5 thousand new jobs, " the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

According to the Chairman of the Board of the National Managing Holding "Baiterek", Aidar Arifkhanov, the holding through support tools provided an influx of investments in the manufacturing sectors of the economy in the amount of more than KZT 3 trln.

In the coming years, the volume of support to the manufacturing sectors of the economy will increase, - Arifkhanov said during a government meeting. Within the framework of SPIID-3 (the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development for 2020-2025), it is planned to direct investments in the manufacturing industry and export support in the amount of KZT 130 bln next year.

"The total amount of financing of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan in 2021 will amount to KZT 342 bln. The implementation of the "DKB-2025" will continue, in particular, this year alone, at the expense of the rate subsidy tool, 850 projects will be supported in the amount of a loan in the amount of KZT 53 bln. The guarantee will cover 955 projects in the manufacturing sector in the amount of loans of KZT 68 bln, the guarantee amount will be KZT 27 bln," Aidar Arifkhanov said.

Also, according to the chairman of the holding, within the framework of the "Economy of Simple Things" program, 335 projects worth KZT 254 bln will receive financing in the manufacturing industry due to subsidies, and the amount of subsidies will amount to KZT 7.6 bln.

"Ondiris program, which provides for financing through the placement of funds in second-tier banks, will be continued. The amount of financing this year will be about KZT 123 bln, loans will be received by 580 projects in the manufacturing industry. The funds were issued for 20 years and will be used until 2034-35," he said.

Aidar Arifkhanov noted that in 2021, more than 2,770 projects worthore than KZT 894.7 bln will be supported for all the holding's instruments in the manufacturing sector.

Recall that in accordance with the Address of the Head of State and the program of Nur Otan party, the Government has set a task to increase the production of the manufacturing industry by 1.5 times by 2025. Last year's growth was 3.9%. At the same time, the share of manufacturing in the GDP structure increased to 12.7%

Baiterek Holding is a key financial operator of the Government for the implementation of state programs aimed at supporting non-resource sectors of the economy, such as the "State Program for Industrial and Innovative Development", "Business Roadmap", "Ondiris", "Economy of Simple Things" , as well as the " National Export Strategy".
