Public figure Saltanat Rakhimbekova passes away

Today we lost Professor Saltanat Rakhimbekova, the president of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan, doctor of economic sciences, public figure.

She left this world on the night of August 3, at the age of 55.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a telegram of condolences to her husband, the chairman of the board of the National Agrarian Research and Education Center NJSC, Toleutai Rakhimbekov and her family.

“Saltanat Temirkulkyzy fruitfully worked in the field of environmental protection for many years, contributed to the improvement of housing and communal services, the development of a green economy.  As a co-chair of the Union of Women-Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, the President of the Civil Alliance of the country, she took an active part in the social and political life of the country.  The bright memory of her will forever remain in our hearts” - the telegram says.

Saltanat Rakhimbekova was born on February 18, 1965 in Dzhambul village, Chimkent region of the Kazakh SSR.

She was awarded the Kurmet Order, a certificate of honor of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and five jubilee medals of Kazakhstan. Laureate of the international public award "Creation".

On June 24, 2020, Saltanat Rakhimbekova was elected president of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan.
