In January–July 2020, KZT 82.9 billion was invested in health and social services in Kazakhstan — 45.4% more than a year earlier. The growth, adjusted for inflation, was 43.7%. According to the results of seven months of this year, a third of investments were provided at the expense of own funds: KZT 27.4 billion — 31.1% more than a year earlier. Another 32% of investments were provided at the expense of the local budget: KZT 26.6 billion, an increase of 2.2 times over the year. The volume of investments from the national budget, on the contrary, decreased by 1.8 times, to KZT 12.3 billion. Additionally, the procurement of demanded medicines from the local budget is carried out in the amount of more than KZT 10 billion. In the regional context, almost half of all investments — 45.7% - were made in just three regions: Almaty, Nur-Sultan and East Kazakhstan region. The largest volume of investments was registered in Almaty: KZT 18.7 billion - 2.2 times more than a year earlier. The second line is occupied by the capital with the volume of investments of KZT 10.3 billion, an increase of 3.8 times over the year. East Kazakhstan region closes the top three, where the volume of investments amounted to KZT 8.8 billion — 32.8% less than a year earlier.
