Measures to support SMEs

In order to restore economic growth, an additional KZT 200 bln. will be allocated at the instruction of the Head of State to support enterprises in the sectors most affected by the consequences of the crisis.
The list of industries will be determined by the Government together with Atameken NCE, Yerbolat Dossayev said at a Government meeting. «The National Bank's program of preferential lending will be increased to KZT 800 bln. and extended until the end of 2021» - he concluded. Madina Abylkasymova, Head of the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, also spoke about measures to support small and medium enterprises. «During the state of emergency, SMEs were granted deferred payments for loans and micro-loans at the instruction of the Head of State. From March 16 to June 15 this year, 12,455 SME entities were granted a deferral, which is 41.5% of the total number of SME borrowers. The amount of deferred payments on loans amounted to KZT 164.8 bln. Currently, SME entities continue to receive support in the form of deferred payments on loans under the simplified procedure or their restructuring» - the Speaker noted.
