Selling 10% of Shares:

As part of the privatization program initiated by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna will sell 10% of the shares of Kazakhtelecom and Air Astana. According to a similar principle, the possibility of sale of such companies as Samruk-Energy, Kazpost, and Kazakh Air is being considered.

Samruk-Kazyna is also transitioning to the investment holding format in accordance with Kazakhstan's Strategic Development Plan until 2025.

This goal implies not only managing the activities of current portfolio companies for the Corporate Center of the Fund, but active management of the investment portfolio of the Fund itself to a greater extent.

Over the past year alone, the Fund has attracted several investors and partnered with a joint direct investment fund with Da Vinci Capital Company for a total of USD 600 mln. At the moment, negotiations are underway on cooperation with Bpifrance European company for possible joint investments in the amount of USD 100 mln.

Currently, the Fund has identified 9 priority development sectors: manufacturing, logistics, mechanical engineering, information technology, scientific development, infrastructure, green energy, healthcare and agriculture.
