In September, the EBRD launches the Green Economy Financing Facility program in Kazakhstan. Green technologies will become available not only to large enterprises, but also to small businesses. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be able to significantly improve the level of comfort of housing and working conditions, as well as achieve savings in funds and resources by implementing modern technological solutions.
Within the framework of the GEFF program, several thousand green projects aimed at improving the energy efficiency of housing and businesses will be financed in Kazakhstan, which will lead to a reduction in annual energy consumption by 150 thousand. GJ, as well as to reduce CO2 emissions by 40 thousand tons per year. Manufacturers and suppliers of energy-efficient products can participate in the GEFF program in Kazakhstan. To participate, you need to add your products to the catalog on the site and set up sales through the program's financial partners. Currently, the "Green Technology Selector" in Kazakhstan has about 2,800 positions from 15 key categories. Members of the GEFF program will also be able to receive free technical advice from the program's engineers before funding begins. Kazakhstan will become the 27th country where the EBRD implements its global GEFF program to support the green economy, as well as the first country where the program is launched in the difficult conditions of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, thirteen European States, including Germany, Spain, Italy and France, declared the crucial importance of the "Green agreement" in overcoming the consequences of COVID-19. The implementation of the program has resulted in an annual reduction of CO2 emissions by more than 8.6 million tons per year.
