First eAuction for subsurface users

Kazakhstan will host the first online auction for subsurface users.

The electronic auction for granting of minerals licence will be on December 23, 2020. The auction will be held 10am to 5pm Nur-Sultan time. It is planned to sell 10 plots through the auction. You can submit an application for the auction by November 29 inclusively for the plots put up for the auction on the website of the eAuction operator gosreestr.kz.

Note that eAuctions will create a transparent competition mechanism, and will also have a positive impact on improving the competitive environment. Their introduction was made possible by amendments to the Code on Natural Resources and Subsurface Use, which allow auctions to be held in electronic format.

Previously, auctions were held in paper format, which caused some inconvenience to participants.
