International Dialogue: Indian Investors Problems

ERI experts held an online meeting with representatives of the Indian business community. 

 

Experts of Economic Research Institute JSC (ERI) held an online discussion with representatives of the business community of India on investment activities.

 

During the online meeting, the parties discussed problematic issues of Indian entrepreneurs, including barriers related to restrictive measures on entry for entrepreneurial activity. The participants also considered a number of other barriers faced by existing and potential investors in India.


Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue work in this direction.

Earlier, the issues of investment potential, development of trade relations, problems of entrepreneurs and restrictive measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed during the meeting of Ruslan Sultanov, ERI Chairman of the Management Board with Shubdarshini Tripathi, the Ambassador of India to Kazakhstan. At the same time, the parties agreed to hold a more detailed discussion on the investment activities of Indian businessmen in Kazakhstan.

Currently ERI experts are working on examination of investment activity in Kazakhstan, and also plan to launch an online survey to assess the investment activities of the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
