Kazakhstan-Russian cooperation

During telephone talks on October 7, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin exchanged views on the current development of situation in the region.
Parties emphasized the exemplary level of Kazakhstan-Russian cooperation and broad prospects for its further development in the interests of both countries. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin discussed further development of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, financial, investment, and energy spheres. Talks between the heads of government were held as part of Mamin's visit to Moscow. Topical issues of interaction in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union are considered. Special attention is paid to joint measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 and mitigate the pandemic consequences for economies of these two countries. During the visit to Moscow, meetings of the Prime Minister of the RK A. Mamin with the leadership of central government authorities, state corporations, and financial and banking structures of Russia are planned as well.
