Turkish investors will invest $160 million in Kazakhstan. Projects will be implemented in such areas as infrastructure, mechanical engineering, food processing and woodworking by the end of this year.
Delegation from Kazakhstan met with the Heads of more than 30 large companies in Istanbul. According to KAZAKH INVEST, the meeting resulted in 5 signed investment agreements. The plan is to create more than 5 thousand jobs.
As part of these agreements, it is planned to launch a new furniture factory, manufacture electrodes and building materials from aluminum, etc. Plans include the construction of shopping and entertainment center in Nur-Sultan next year as well. The parties intend to launch a new boiler house in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Also in 2021, Kazakhstan will start building a greenhouse with an area of 50 hectares.
Turkey is among the top ten countries that invest in the Kazakhstan economy. Despite the pandemic, trade turnover between two countries amounted to more than 2 billion in the first 8 months of this year, an increase of 1.4% compared to the same period last year. The most attractive areas for financial investments are food production, agriculture, and construction.
