"G-Global. World of the XXI century"

On November 18-20, Nur-Sultan hosted the "G-Global. World of the XXI century" International Congress. It was attended by representatives of 70 countries, including former Heads of state and governments, Heads of international financia.organizations and large businesses, global experts and world-class practitioners, as well as Nobel prize winners. The forum was held in an online format due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Need to develop investment cooperation and digitalization became the key topics of negotiations. Analysts noted the future of blockchain and the Sustainable Development Goals that need to be achieved within 10 years.

"We regularly improve legislation in accordance with the OECD standards. The implemented measures allowed Kazakhstan to take the 25th place in the Doing Business 2020 rating. Kazakhstan offers to use services of the Astana International Financial Centre to constantly exchange best practices and intensify work on mutual provision of financial services. This centre offers all the tools that an investor may need. AIFC legislation is based on English Law and creates all conditions for absolutely safe investment not only in Kazakhstan, but also in other countries of the region", Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov said during the G-Global.

At the end of three days of work, leading experts from more than a hundred countries discussed issues of the world economy, taking into account the situation with the coronavirus.

In addition, it was proposed to create a permanent Organizing Committee for the Congress. This initiative was made by the Head of the International Secretariat of G-Global Serik Nogerbekov at the plenary session of the "G-Global. World of the XXI century" International Congress.

"I expect to hold our event together once a year at this time, using the G-Global platform as well as platforms of our colleagues. I think e-forum.net - innovative platform proved itself well. Most importantly, I would like to say that after two days of discussions, there is a firm belief that it is necessary to create such institutions of people's diplomacy. What do I mean by that? State diplomacy and interstate diplomacy – the United Nations, Asian Development Bank, and the World Health Organization-are currently functioning in the world. It suggests the creation of... the most solid construction which is the tripod. The third point of support is public diplomacy, this process is very much underway", – said S. Nogerbekov.
