The CSTO countries are preparing a Collective Forces Technical Maintenance Agreement. The document is being developed for the purpose of legal regulation of issues related to material and technical and medical equipment in the joint solution of collective security problems.
The meeting of the working group under the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers on the Technical Maintenance of the Collective Forces of th.organization was held on Tuesday. Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the Joint Staff (JS) of the CSTO, informed the participants about the progress of the domestic coordination of the draft agreement.
During the meeting, the issue of payment for military railway transportation through the territory of the CSTO member states in the preparation and conduct of joint exercises, th.organization of repair and restoration of weapons and military equipment of the CSTO CF was also discussed.
The meeting was held by videoconference under the leadership of the Chairman of the working group, Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bulgakov. It was attended by the deputy ministers of the defense departments of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Defense Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the Deputy Head of the Logistics of the Armed Forces of Armenia and the Head of the CSTO JS. The CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
