Elections of KZ Parliament deputies

A group of observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly will take part in the short-term monitoring of deputies elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
The observation group will comprise MPs, representatives of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations, and members of the Secretariat of the CIS IPA Council. A total of 47 CIS IPA observers will be working on the elections in Kazakhstan. Alexei Mayorov, Chairman of Russia's Federation Council Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management, was appointed coordinator of the observation group. On 7-12 January 2021 the group will work in Nur-Sultan and other regions of Kazakhstan. On Election Day, monitoring will also be conducted at foreign polling stations in Baku (Azerbaijan), Yerevan (Armenia), Minsk (Belarus), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), St. Petersburg (Russia), Dushanbe (Tajikistan) and Berlin (Germany).
