Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will create an investment fund with an authorized capital of $ 50 mln. The corresponding agreement was adopted by the Presidents of the two countries.
During the visit of the head of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Tashkent, 22 documents covering almost all areas of Uzbek-Kyrgyz partnership were signed. Among them is the agreement on the establishment of Uzbek-Kyrgyz Investment Fund. "Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will create a joint investment fund with an authorized capital of $ 50 million, which is planned to be increased to $ 200 million in the future," said Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan. The Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan noted that the fund will become a catalyst for the development of Uzbek-Kyrgyz cooperation, will allow supporting a number of new joint projects, primarily in the field of industrial cooperation.
