A new freight rail route has been launched between China and Kazakhstan, connecting the administrative center of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZhAR), Nanning in southern China, with the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan.

The train carrying 49 containers of heavy construction equipment left the international railway port of Nanning on Saturday and will reach the capital of Kazakhstan within 13 days from the moment of departure.

This route with a length of 5031 km was launched as part of the international railway cargo transportation "China-Europe".

Before the launch of the new route, it took more than 45 days to transport equipment by road, said the Chinese engineering company Guangxi Construction Engineering Group Construction Machinery Manufacturing. According to Zhou Sytong, a representative of the China Railway Nanning Group, the new route is of great importance for increasing the role of Nanning in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Recall that Chinese authorities in the framework of the" OB-OR " intend to increase the capacity of railways and checkpoints in the context of the development of the "Sino-European Express".
