U.S.: Falling Indices

The main US indices showed the worst performance for three months. During the trading session, shares of American IT giants such as Apple, Google and Microsoft lost a lot in price.
Apple's stock fell by 7.9%, Google — 5%, Tesla — more than 9% Microsoft — 6.19%, Facebook —3.76%, Amazon — 5.4%. In addition, the key US indices ended trading with a sharp drop on Thursday, September 3. The market has experienced the most severe shocks in the last three months. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell by 2.79% to 28,289.63 points. NASDAQ index fell by 4.96% to 11,458.10 points. S&P 500 index fell by 3.52% to 3,454.89 points. According to experts' forecasts, the growth of stock indexes is not expected in the near future. "As market participants continue to analyze information about the impact of the pandemic on the economy, as well as factors such as the development of vaccine and upcoming elections, we can expect that there will be sessions when the market will not see strong growth," commented Holly McDonald, Investment Director at Bessemer Trust.
