The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced that it is going to explore the Moon, and to establish production of hydrogen fuel on the earth satellite by 2035.
Japanese experts want to build a plant at the South pole of the stellar body in order to develop it. Scientists expect to find deposits of ice that will split into oxygen and hydrogen, and then turn into fuel. The fuel will allow to move around the Moon at distances of up to a thousand kilometers, between the Earth's orbit and the circumlunar cosmic station.
Japan expects the plant to be completed by 2035.
