The resumption of air communication between Kazakhstan and a number of countries is suspended. Flights to countries with which it has already been resumed will remain the same. Number of flights to Turkey will be decreased.
"Taking into account the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in foreign countries, in order to prevent the entry and spread of infection, it is proposed to suspend the resumption of additional flights with other countries from October 5, not to increase the number of flights with countries with which it has already been resumed, and to reduce the number of flights to Turkey" - the Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoi said at a government meeting.
Mandatory requirements for people from the second category countries (UAE, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Germany) will also be strengthened. Those who come to Kazakhstan from these countries will be required to have a certificate of COVID-19 test, received no earlier than three days before crossing the state border. In the absence of such certificate, those who arrive will be isolated in a quarantine hospital for up to two days for laboratory tests. It is proposed to apply similar requirements to persons crossing the state border at checkpoints at air crossings with the EAEU countries and Uzbekistan.
Recall that at the end of August, Kazakhstan resumed air service with four countries on six routes: the UAE, Germany, Belarus and Ukraine. Since September 11, Air Astana planes have again started flying from Almaty to Tashkent and back. Weekly flights to Russia were resumed from September 21.
