Discussion of topical issues on the implementation of the SDGs

January 14 this year at 15-00 at the Radisson Hotel (Nur-Sultan), a discussion of topical issues on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (hereinafter - the SDGs) in Kazakhstan will take place. The event will b.organized by the Economic Research Institute JSC jointly with the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan.

The event will present the results of the work done in 2019, as well as discuss further steps to localize the SDGs in Kazakhstan for 2020, including the issue of approving the national list of SDG indicators. The above event will be attended by representatives of five working groups (People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnership, Peace), international and non-governmenta.organizations, as well as the expert community.

Also, during the event, representatives of non-governmenta.organizations and the expert community will present their proposals and vision for localizing the SDGs in Kazakhstan.

In addition, the above event will serve as an effective platform for preliminary discussion of issues within the framework of the upcoming January 16 meetings of the Coordination Council for the Sustainable Development Goals under the leadership of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
