Bakhyt Yessekina, Director of the Green Academy Research and Education Center with a report on the OECD Green Growth Indicators will be one of the speakers at the event.
The pandemic and economic crisis have captured public attention, overshadowing the urgent environmental issues. However, in this situation, they are more relevant than ever. A healthy future for nations is directly linked to the environment, while a green economy is one of the main factors of financial prosperity.
It is not necessary to explain how important it is to keep up with the times-to introduce technologies that contribute to the growth of the natural resource base of the economy. A green economy improves people's lives, both biologically and materially.
However, the development of the "green" direction requires coordinated actions of the Ministries of Finance, Economy, Industry, Agriculture and other departments whose policies affect the environment and can contribute to green growth.
In this regard, a "green" platform of cooperation between the Government of Kazakhstan and the OECD, aimed at the restoration of ecosystems, rational use of natural resources through the introduction of advanced technologies, and mobilize green finance has been launched. Based on the OECD's 54 green growth indicators, Kazakhstan has developed 30 indicators, many of which have been implemented.
These and more other issues will be discussed at our conference! Do not miss it!
