Informational and advisory webinar on OECD and NCP issues for “Atameken” NCE

ERI experts spoke about areas of cooperation and partnership of Kazakhstan with the OECD member countries, as well as about the NCP activities in the country.

Economic Research Institute JSC (ERI) held an information and advisory webinar on Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (hereinafter - OECD) and the National Contact Point of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – NCP) for “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – “Atameken” NCE).

Online conference was attended by the management and expert staff of “Atameken” NCE central office, as well as representatives of the territoria.organizations of Almaty and North Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Akmola, Almaty regions.  

The first block of webinar was devoted to the key points of cooperation between Kazakhstan and OECD, which was outlined by the leading expert of ERI Center Alibek Raipov.

In his speech, the speaker highlighted the areas of interaction and prospects for partnership between Kazakhstan and the OECD member countries both in terms of economy and legal component.

The second block of online event focused on Kazakhstan NCP activities, which was described by a senior expert of ERI Center Ruslan Karbenov.

In addition to the current obligations of Kazakhstan on establishment and development of NCP, the speaker noted the regulatory features of NCP in the country, as well as procedural aspects of consideration of appeals with subsequent monitoring of implementation of NCP decisions by parties.

In conclusion, speakers and participants modeled the situation reflecting negative consequences of non-compliance with the OECD Guidelines.
