Extended meeting of the NCP Network

Kazakhstan NCP presented the results of its work at an expanded meeting of the Working Group on Responsible Business of the OECD Investment Committee (NCP Network) On November 22-25, 2021, the OECD Investment Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) held an extended meeting of its Working Group on Responsible Business Conduct, chaired by Christine Kaufmann, Chair of the OECD Working Group on Responsible Business Conduct. The meeting was attended by representatives of 50 countries that signed the OECD Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises, which involves the creation of National Contact Points. More than 90 participants joined the meeting of the Working Group on Responsible Business Conduct: high-ranking representatives of government agencies and variou.organizations. On the part of Kazakhstan, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Kazakhstan office of the National Contact Center of Economic Research Institute JSC (ERI) represented by Dolores Tyulebekova and Alibek Raipov. The meeting was held in a videoconference format and included two parts: 1. Report on the analysis of the implementation of the Guidelines of Multinational Enterprises, Review of the Program of Activities and Budget of the Working Group for 2023-2024 and the Action Plan for 2022-2024 – November 22-24, 2021. 2. Meeting of the Network of National Contact Points for Responsible Business Conduct – November 25, 2021. The webinar was moderated by Christine Kaufmann, Chair of the OECD Working Group on Responsible Business Conduct, and Head of the National Contact Point Network on Responsible Business Conduct. During the second part of the Meeting of the Working Group, namely the Meeting of the Network of National Contact Points for Responsible Business Conduct, a leading expert of the ERI World Economy Research Center made a speech Alibek Raipov. In his report, he presented the work done by the Kazakhstani side since the resumption of the activities of the NCP and the work plan for the coming year, and also announced the initiative to cooperate with other NCP. In conclusion Christine Kaufmann noted that Kazakhstan has done significant and fruitful work.
