Special session of the OECD Committee

On June 29-30, a special session of the OECD Committee on Public Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) was held with the participation of Dustin Brown, the chairman of this working part.The meeting was attended by more than 90 representatives from OECD member countries, as well as from countries such as Brazil, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Peru, Tunisia, and the United States. From the side of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the JSC Institute for Economic Research. The event focused on discussing the agenda for the upcoming ministerial meeting of the Committee under the auspices of "Confidence-Building and Democracy," which will be held from 17-22 November 2022 in Luxembourg. The meeting was held by videoconference and included an update on preparations for the Committee's ministerial meeting and its precursor, the Global Forum, on 17 November 2022. A draft annotated agenda of events, an update on the progress and plans with regard to the development and negotiation of key documents (briefing notes on "Covering Global Public Responsibility", "Transforming Government for Digital Democracy".
The OECD — international economi.organization of developed countries, established in 1948 and recognizing the principles of representative democracy and free market economy. The purpose of the OECD is to conduct a coordinated policy aimed at ensuring sustainable economic growth and improving living standards of the member countries. The OECD has 38 member countries. Kazakhstan has been cooperating with the OECD since 2008.
