Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover in the first half of 2021 amounted to USD 45.3 bln. (+4.0%) Goods turnover of Kazakhstan in June showed an 80-month maximum, the ERI Expert notes. According to the Bureau of National Statistics under the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms and State Revenue Committee under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover in the first half of 2021 amounted USD 45.3 bln. (+4.0%). • exports – $27.0 bln. (+2.7%) • imports – $18.3 bln. (+5.9%) • balance of visible trade – $ 8.7 bln. (-3.5%) The export of the following goods has increased: • copper and copper cathodes – 39.6% • ferroalloys – 27.6% • iron ores – by 2.1 times • wheat – 31.2% • petroleum products – 27.4% • rolled metal products – by 2 times • aluminum – 33.8% Decline in exports: • oil – 10.8% • natural gas – 40% • natural uranium – 28.4% An increase in imports was noted in: • passenger cars – 91.6% • computing machines – 73.4% • vaccines – 83.1% • car parts – 37.8% • lead ores - by 2.8 times From non-CIS countries, the trade turnover increased with China – by 7.0%, with the Netherlands – by 18.8%, Turkey – by 5.3%, France (by 10.2%) and Germany (by 25.8%). From CIS countries, trade with Russia (26.6%), Uzbekistan (36.7%) and Tajikistan (33.5%) increased. "In June of this year, the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to about $ 9.1 bln. — there has not been such a monthly turnover since October 2014 ($10.3 bln.). I.e., the goods turnover of the Republic of Kazakhstan in June showed an 80-month maximum," Serik Yernar, the Expert from ERI, noted.
