ERI held a webinar on OECD and NCP issues

Informational and advisory webinar on OECD and NCP issues for "QazTextileIndustry"ERI experts spoke about areas of cooperation and partnership of Kazakhstan with the OECD member countries, as well as about the NCP activities in the republic of Kazakhstan. Economic Research Institute JSC (ERI) held an informational and advisory webinar on the issues of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and National Contact Point of Kazakhstan (NCP) for "QazTextileIndustry" National Association of Light Industry Enterprises" Union of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs Self Regulating Organization. The online conference was attended by the management and representatives of "QazTextileIndustry". The first block of this webinar was devoted to the key aspects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the OECD, which was outlined by the leading expert of ERI Center Alibek Raipov. In his speech, the speaker highlighted the areas of interaction and prospects for partnership between Kazakhstan and the OECD member countries both from the point of view of the economy and legal component. In the second block of the webinar, information about activities of the NCP of Kazakhstan was announced, which was outlined by the senior expert of ERI Center Ruslan Karbenov. As part of the presentation, aspects of the OECD Guidelines in the area of labor and industrial relations, competition and consumer interests were highlighted, as well as regulatory features of the NCP in Kazakhstan, procedural aspects of consideration of appeals with subsequent monitoring of compliance with the NCP's decisions by the parties. In conclusion, the speakers and participants of the webinar noted the importance of Kazakhstan's cooperation with the OECD and relevance of activities of the NCP of Kazakhstan.
