The State Museum of Art. Abylkhan Kasteyev in Almaty will exhibit an exposition dedicated to the SDGs
On December 8, at 16:00, the official opening of an installation dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will take place in Almaty on the territory of the Abylkhan Kasteev State Museum of Art.
The event is aimed at uniting the efforts of all interested partners to achieve the SDGs in the country.
Kazakhstan is actively working to achieve its commitments to achieve the SDGs by 2030. Thus, on the instructions of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 15, 2018, the Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development Goals was established under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The installation contains elements that describe the relevance, problem and solutions for each of the 17 SDGs in three languages in an interactive format. The art objects were made for the First Regional summit on financing the SDGs by Kazakh ecodesigner Aigerim Akenova («Aiken» Studio).
The event is held within the framework of cooperation The State Museum of Art named after A. Kasteev with the Institute of Economic Research with the support of the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan.
