Appointments:

Kuanysh Beissengazin was appointed the Deputy Chairman of ERI Management Board.

Kuanysh Beissengazin, formerly Managing Director of Economic Research Institute (ERI), joined the ERI team in 2012.

He worked as a Senior Expert at the Centre for Macroeconomic and Applied Economic and Mathematical Research. He was the Director of the Centre for Macroeconomic Research and Forecasting in 2020-2022.

In 2021, Kuanysh Beissengazin was selected for the Presidential Youth Talent Pool.

The Expert was actively involved in the development of the Concept of Kazakhstan's entry into the world's 30 most developed countries, the National Export Strategy and other studies, such as:

— Analysis of pricing changes in th.organization, management, operation and development of the common market for petroleum products and their impact on the economy of Kazakhstan

— Analysis of the tax reform effectiveness in the Republic of Kazakhstan

— Social and economic ways of reducing maternal mortality in the Republic of Kazakhstan - Development of the Social Modernization Concept of the Republic of Kazakhstan

— Prospective trends for improving the social and economic development model in the long term

— A concept for Kazakhstan to become one of the 30 most developed countries in the world

— Improving the migration policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan

— Prospects for the development of the labor market in the Republic of Kazakhstan

— Study of fundamental factors and determinants of long-term economic growth and development of a macroeconomic forecast of sustainable development of Kazakhstan until 2050

— Implementation of a comprehensive tax reform in the Republic of Kazakhstan and assessment of the tax reform effects

— Development of an operational short- to medium-term macroeconomic forecasting model for Kazakhstan

— Development of an Income Generation Program until 2025, etc.

K. Beissengazin graduated from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University majoring in Economics (2005-2009). He graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2011 with a degree in National Economy. In 2014-2015 he was engaged in lecturing as a Senior Lecturer at the Economics Department of the Kazakhstan branch of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

In 2018-2020, he studied at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) under the Bolashak Program in Economics and Management in Government and International Organizations.

The Expert is fluent in Russian, Kazakh, English and Italian.

He is married and has a son.
