Kazakhstan-France: Trade Relations

In January-September 2022, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to USD 2.5 bln. For the same period in 2021 – USD 2.3 bln. In January-September 2022, exports from Kazakhstan to France increased by 5% to USD 1.9 bln. The main goods exported from Kazakhstan to France are: crude oil – USD 1.7 bln ((with a share of 89.8%), uranium – USD 146.5 mln (7.6%), titanium and its products – USD 28 mln (1.5%), sulfur – USD 10.2 mln (0.53%), hydrogen, inert gases and other nonmetals – USD 1.9 mln (0.1%), engines and electric generators – USD 1.3 mln (0.07%). In January-September 2022, imports to Kazakhstan from France increased by 8.1% to USD 512.6 mln. The main goods imported to Kazakhstan from France are: vaccines, blood serums, blood – USD 40.5 mln (with a share of 7.9%), turbojet and turboprop engines, gas turbines – USD 36.9 mln (7.2%), medicines packaged for retail sale – USD 36.7 mln (7. 2%), coal electrodes – USD 22.4 mln (4.4%), radar and radio navigation equipment – USD 17.1 mln (3.3%), electrical transformers – USD 15.1 mln (2.9%), fragrance mixtures – USD 12.7 mln (2.5%), herbicides – USD 11.9 mln (2.3%).
