Kazakhstan experienced a continued year-on-year deceleration in consumer inflation for the twelfth consecutive month in February 2024 reaching a rate of 9.3% - the lowest since February 2022.
An examination of regional inflation trends reveals varying price growth across the country's regions.
Annually the highest inflation rates were observed in the Karaganda region (11.5%), East Kazakhstan region (10.2%), and Mangystau region (10.0%).
All regions reported inflation levels significantly below those of the previous year, with the most notable decrease observed in Mangystau, plummeting from 25.1% to 10%. The lowest inflation rates were recorded in the Kyzylorda region (8.4%), Kostanai region (8.4%), and Almaty region (7.1%).
