
Shakharbanu Shormanovna Zhakupova, Chief Research Fellow at JSC Economic Research Institute, participated in a two-day worksho.organized by the Academy of Management (AOM) under the Community Accelerator Program in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the support of Narxoz University and KIMEP University. The event took place in Almaty on May 28–29, 2026.
The workshop was held as part of the Academy of Management (AOM) Community Accelerator Program’s “Silk Road” initiative, aimed at fostering research collaboration with academic communities across Central Asia.
The seminar's objective was to create a platform for knowledge exchange, the development of research skills, and the strengthening of the region’s academic community.
The following activities were held as part of the workshop:
* May 28 – An open meeting with editors of leading AOM journals. Participants learned about the importance of research conducted in emerging economies, particularly in Central Asian countries, and its contribution to the development of management theory and practice. Recommendations on publishing research in leading international journals were also presented.
* May 29 – Interactive roundtable discussions with AOM journal editors focusing on research development, academic writing, and the peer-review process. During the session, participants discussed research ideas and established new professional connections.
Editors of highly ranked academic journals participated in the event as speakers, including Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Collections, Academy of Management Discoveries, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Academy of Management Perspectives, and Academy of Management Review.
