The Secretariat of the National Contact Point of Kazakhstan of the Economic Research Institute (ERI) JSC held an online meeting with the Atakent Center for Human and Consumer Rights Protection (hereinafter - the Atakent Center) on August 25.

The meeting was attended by Aziza Kassenova, the Head of the NCP Secretariat, Dolores Tulebekova, the Director of the World Economy Research Center ERI, and Sergey Fedoseyev, the Head of the Atakent Center.

Sergey Fedoseyev presented the activities of the Atakent Center, specifying that th.organization is exclusively engaged in lawmaking and participates in court proceedings related to consumer protection. 

The head of the institution also emphasized the Atakent Center's willingness to assist in resolving issues related to the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises in the field of consumer protection.

The parties noted the presence of mutual interest in the activities of the NCP and further meetings on consumer protection issues.

The Atakent Center was invited by the NCP Secretariat to participate in the NCP Anniversary Conference scheduled for November 2022.
