Lecture by the NCP Secretariat for Master's students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On April 24, 2023, an online semina.organized by the Kazakhstan office of the National Contact Point (hereinafter - NCP, Secretariat) represented by Economic Research Institute JSC (ERI) was held for the second year master students of "Public Administration" specialty of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the seminar representatives of the NCP Secretariat represented by A. Kassenova and I. Beisekeyeva told in detail about the activities of the NCP of Kazakhstan, shared its history and experience gained during the period of its functioning, explained how the structure and information resource of the NCP is built. Moreover, special attention was paid to the importance of mediation procedures in dealing with incoming appeals to the NCP. In the course of the seminar, graduate students asked questions about the role of NCP for civil society, the mechanism of case studies, etc. The keen interest in NCP among the graduate students indicated their interest and passion for the issue. As a result, the master students expressed their great gratitude for the cognitive seminar, as well as the willingness to disseminate information about the activities of the NCP in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, due to the fact that this course was presented by civil servants from local executive bodies. For reference: The NFP is a collegial advisory body that decides on pending allegations of violations of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, including in the areas of disclosure, human rights, labor and industrial relations, anti-bribery, bribery and extortion, environment, consumer interests, science and technology, competition and taxation. The Academy of Public Administration is an educational, methodological, scientific and information-analytical institution coordinating the activities of the civil service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
