On August 11, 2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation (hereinafter - the Memorandum) was signed between the Secretariat of the National Contact Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the Secretariat, NCP) and the Association of Manufacturers of Pharmaceutical and Medical Products of Kazakhstan "PharmMedIndustry of Kazakhstan".

The Memorandum aims to develop and strengthen cooperation based on responsible business conduct standards in accordance with the Organization for Economic Development Cooperation Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as the OECD Guidelines).

Informing the population and business community of Kazakhstan about the standards of responsible business conduct in accordance with the OECD Guidelines plays a key role in the development of interaction. In this case, the interest of the parties will allow for more constructive joint meetings, consultations, scientific and practical seminars, conferences and round tables, as well as promote the implementation and compliance with the OECD standards of responsible business conduct by the Kazakhstani business community.

It is expected that joint activities can be reflected in the preparation of analytical papers and reports on issues of common interest, as well as containing OECD standards of good practice.

The NCP is a collegial advisory body that makes decisions on pending appeals regarding violations of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, including disclosure, human rights, labor and industrial relations, anti-bribery, bribery and extortion, environmental protection, consumer interests, science and technology, competition and taxation.
