Lecture by the NCP Secretariat for Doctorate students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On May 12, 2023, the Kazakhstan office of the National Contact Point on behalf of JEconomic Research Institute JSC (ERI) held an online informational and explanatory seminar for doctoral students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the seminar, Aziza Kassenova, Head of the Kazakhstan NCC Secretariat, and Dolores Tyulebekova, Director of the Center for World Economy Research, introduced the participants to the functions and activities of the National Contact Point in Kazakhstan, informed about the standards of responsible business conduct and guidelines of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Companies. In addition, some successful cases of peaceful settlement of disputes from international practice were discussed. At the end of the seminar the parties decided to continue interaction on NCC issues and high interest of the seminar participants was noted. For reference: The NFP is a collegial advisory body that decides on pending allegations of violations of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, including in the areas of disclosure, human rights, labor and industrial relations, anti-bribery, bribery and extortion, environment, consumer interests, science and technology, competition and taxation.
