Lecture for students of the Department of Political Science of the Eurasian National University

On November 7, 2023, the Secretariat of the National Contact Point of Kazakhstan (Secretariat, NCP), represented by Economic Research Institute JSC, gave a lecture at L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University for 4th year students majoring in Political Science within the framework of the discipline "Political Mediation". The lecturers were the staff of the Secretariat A. Musina and G. Sman. The following issues were considered during the lecture: • Kazakhstan's cooperation with the OECD; • activities of the National Contact Point; • the procedure for submitting applications to the National Contact Point; • The OECD Guidelines for Multinational companies. In turn, students asked questions about the role of the NCP for civil society, the mechanism for reviewing specific cases, etc., to which comprehensive answers were received. It is worth noting that one of the tasks of the NCP is to informatively promote the activities of internationa.organizations, in particular the OECD and on NCP issues to widely raise awareness among young people. To achieve this task, it is important to involve students of humanities degree as potential users of NCP tools and possible participants in the further implementation of international standards. Following the lecture, the students noted the relevance of the NCP's activities and high interest.
